Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup flaxseeds
  • 1 tbsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Mix yeast with warm water and honey. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine flour, flaxseeds, rosemary, thyme, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool before slicing.
