Description
Crispy, tender chicken tenders made in an air fryer with minimal oil for a healthier alternative to fried chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for extra crispiness)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken tender in beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with olive oil if desired.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Check internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray lightly with cooking oil.
- Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
