Description
A delicious and healthy homemade bread swirled with garlic and herbs, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients, knead until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Mix garlic, parsley, and rosemary in a small bowl.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, spread the herb mixture evenly.
- Roll tightly into a log and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Cool before slicing.
