Description

A delicious and healthy homemade bread swirled with garlic and herbs, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped


Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients, knead until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Mix garlic, parsley, and rosemary in a small bowl.
  6. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread the herb mixture evenly.
  7. Roll tightly into a log and place in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  10. Cool before slicing.
