Description
A fresh and healthy hummus dip with a southwest twist. Perfect for snacks, parties, or as a side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Add chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, and lime juice to a food processor.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Add water gradually until the desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust salt as needed.
- Serve with fresh vegetables or pita bread.
Notes
- For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and chopped cilantro before serving.
