Description

A fresh and healthy hummus dip with a southwest twist. Perfect for snacks, parties, or as a side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Add chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, and lime juice to a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Add water gradually until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust salt as needed.
  5. Serve with fresh vegetables or pita bread.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and chopped cilantro before serving.
