Description
A simple and healthy crockpot meal featuring Italian sausage, potatoes, and green beans.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage (sweet or hot)
- 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the sausage on all sides, then transfer to the crockpot.
- Add potatoes, green beans, onion, and garlic to the crockpot.
- Sprinkle oregano, basil, salt, and pepper over the ingredients.
- Pour chicken broth into the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir gently before serving.
Notes
- Use precooked sausage to reduce cooking time.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of balsamic vinegar before serving.
