A delicious twist on classic garlic bread, stuffed with layers of healthy lasagna ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf whole wheat French bread
- 2 cups low-fat ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 cup spinach, chopped
- 1 cup lean ground turkey, cooked
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Slice the bread lengthwise and hollow out the center.
- Mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, spinach, and cooked turkey in a bowl.
- Spread marinara sauce inside the bread.
- Fill with the cheese and turkey mixture.
- Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes until cheese melts and bread is golden.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use gluten-free bread if needed.
- Substitute turkey with mushrooms for a vegetarian option.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
