Description

A hearty and healthy lasagna made with sweet Italian sausage, packed with flavor and nutrients.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add sausage, onion, and garlic. Cook until sausage is browned.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese and egg.
  6. Layer noodles, sausage mixture, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish. Repeat layers.
  7. Top with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
