A hearty and satisfying casserole that combines hash browns, ham, and cheese for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- 1 package (30 oz) frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, diced ham, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, and diced onion.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream, condensed soup, melted butter, and black pepper.
- Pour the sour cream mixture over the hash brown mixture and stir until everything is well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Let it stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use fresh hash browns instead of frozen.
- For a crispier top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
- Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
