Description

A nutritious and comforting dish combining lean meatballs with creamy mashed potatoes, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 500g lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano in a bowl.
  3. Shape mixture into small meatballs.
  4. Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place meatballs in a baking dish and cover with mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Use lean beef for lower fat content.
