A simple and healthy side dish featuring roasted onions with a savory miso glaze.
Ingredients
- 4 medium onions, peeled and quartered
- 2 tbsp white miso paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss onion quarters with olive oil and black pepper.
- Roast onions for 20 minutes.
- Mix miso paste, honey, and water in a bowl.
- Brush miso glaze over onions.
- Roast for another 10 minutes until caramelized.
Notes
- Use yellow or white onions for best results.
- Adjust honey quantity for sweetness preference.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
