Description
A simple and healthy one-pan meal featuring tender chicken and buttered noodles.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add butter, garlic powder, and thyme. Stir until butter melts.
- Add egg noodles and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.
- Slice the cooked chicken and return to the pan. Stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use whole wheat noodles for added fiber.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Add steamed vegetables for extra nutrition.
