Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown ground turkey with onion and garlic over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese and egg.
  6. Layer noodles, turkey sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese in a baking dish. Repeat layers.
  7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
