Description

A quick and healthy lasagna made with smoked mozzarella for a rich flavor.


Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup smoked mozzarella, shredded
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 egg
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles as per package instructions.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook ground turkey until browned.
  4. Add marinara sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the turkey. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Mix ricotta, Parmesan, and egg in a bowl.
  6. Layer noodles, turkey sauce, ricotta mixture, and smoked mozzarella in a baking dish.
  7. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
