Description
A quick and healthy lasagna made with smoked mozzarella for a rich flavor.
Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 cup smoked mozzarella, shredded
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 egg
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook lasagna noodles as per package instructions.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and cook ground turkey until browned.
- Add marinara sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the turkey. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix ricotta, Parmesan, and egg in a bowl.
- Layer noodles, turkey sauce, ricotta mixture, and smoked mozzarella in a baking dish.
- Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use no-boil lasagna noodles to save time.
- Substitute ground turkey with tofu for a vegetarian option.
- Add spinach or zucchini for extra veggies.
