Description
A quick and healthy lasagna made with turkey meatballs, perfect for a family meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Mix turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form small meatballs and brown them in olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- Layer noodles, meatballs, marinara sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
- Repeat layers and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Use whole wheat noodles for extra fiber.
- Substitute cottage cheese for ricotta if preferred.
- Let lasagna rest for 5 minutes before serving.
