Description
A simple and healthy side dish featuring roasted onions seasoned with za’atar, a Middle Eastern spice blend.
Ingredients
- 2 large red onions, sliced into wedges
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp za’atar spice blend
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss onion wedges with olive oil, za’atar, salt, and pepper.
- Spread evenly on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 25-30 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
- Serve warm as a side dish.
Notes
- Za’atar is a Middle Eastern spice mix containing thyme, sumac, and sesame seeds.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
