A delicious and hearty breakfast dish combining flaky biscuits with a creamy sausage gravy filling.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 large refrigerated biscuits
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
- Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir for 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until gravy thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Press biscuits into muffin tin cups, forming a well in the center.
- Spoon sausage gravy into each biscuit cup.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
Notes
- Use a wooden spoon to break up sausage while cooking.
- For spicier gravy, add 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes.
- Let biscuits cool for 5 minutes before serving.
