A healthier twist on the classic French dip sandwich using savory biscuits.
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold
- 3/4 cup low-fat milk
- 1/2 cup lean roast beef, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk until dough forms.
- Roll dough into 6 biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Heat beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small pan.
- Dip roast beef slices in the broth mixture.
- Serve warm biscuits with dipped beef.
