Description
A nutritious and hearty bread made with buckwheat flour and seeds for added texture and flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups buckwheat flour
- 1 cup mixed seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, flax)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mix yeast with warm water and honey. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Combine buckwheat flour, seeds, and salt in a bowl.
- Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir well.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Shape into a loaf and place in a greased pan.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes.
- Cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For extra crunch, sprinkle seeds on top before baking.
- Use a bread machine for easier kneading.
