Ingredients
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup flax seeds
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet (7g) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Mix yeast, warm water, and honey in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add whole wheat flour, salt, olive oil, sesame seeds, and flax seeds. Knead into a smooth dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased bread pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For extra crunch, toast the sesame and flax seeds before adding.
- Replace honey with maple syrup for a vegan option.
