Description

A quick and easy recipe for spicy pickled red onions with jalapeño and cilantro. Perfect for tacos, salads, or sandwiches.


Ingredients

  • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Slice the red onion and jalapeño thinly.
  2. Chop the cilantro.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  4. Place onions, jalapeño, and cilantro in a clean jar.
  5. Pour the hot vinegar mixture into the jar, covering the onions completely.
  6. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
