Description

A hearty and healthy twist on the classic Swedish meatballs, combined with noodles and baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 500g lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 250g whole wheat noodles
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, pepper, and allspice in a bowl.
  3. Shape into small meatballs.
  4. Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and brown meatballs on all sides.
  6. Remove meatballs and stir flour into the pan.
  7. Gradually add beef broth and sour cream, stirring until smooth.
  8. Combine noodles, meatballs, and sauce in a baking dish.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes.
