Description
A sweet and spicy sauce perfect for dipping or glazing. It’s healthier than store-bought versions with no artificial additives.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Add sriracha and mix well.
- For a thicker sauce, dissolve cornstarch in 1 tsp water and stir into the sauce.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
- Adjust sriracha to control spiciness.
- Use as a glaze for grilled meats or as a dipping sauce.
