Description

A healthy and flavorful pasta dish made with red lentils and tomato sauce, perfect for Thanksgiving.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 2 cups pasta
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  2. Rinse the red lentils and cook them in boiling water for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  4. Add tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Drain the lentils and mix them with the tomato sauce.
  6. Combine the sauce with the cooked pasta and serve.
