Description
A nutritious and wholesome sourdough bread made with whole spelt flour.
Ingredients
- 500g whole spelt flour
- 350ml water
- 100g active sourdough starter
- 10g salt
Instructions
- Mix flour and water in a bowl. Let rest for 30 minutes.
- Add sourdough starter and salt. Knead until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 4-6 hours at room temperature.
- Shape the dough and place in a proofing basket.
- Let rise for another 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F).
- Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- Use active sourdough starter for best results.
- Adjust water quantity based on flour absorption.
- Longer fermentation enhances flavor.
