A comforting and filling soup that combines the flavors of hamburger and macaroni in a rich broth.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes, then bring to a boil.
- Stir in macaroni, oregano, and basil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pasta is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot, topped with cheddar cheese if desired.
