Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and cook onions until caramelized. Set aside.
  2. Shape ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook patties in the same pan until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Butter one side of each rye bread slice.
