Description
A rich and creamy pasta bake loaded with cheese and a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir well.
- Mix cooked pasta with the sauce.
- Transfer half the pasta mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle with half the mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Add the remaining pasta mixture, top with remaining cheeses.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or sausage.
- For extra richness, add cream cheese to the sauce.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
