Description

A quick and flavorful one-pan meal featuring tender chicken and rice with a bold honey BBQ glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1/2 cup bold honey BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika
  3. Cook chicken for 5 minutes per side until browned
  4. Remove chicken and set aside
  5. Add rice to skillet and toast for 1 minute
  6. Pour in chicken broth and BBQ sauce, stir well
  7. Return chicken to skillet, nestling into rice
  8. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until liquid is absorbed
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving
