A budget-friendly casserole that’s hearty and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a skillet.
- Drain excess fat and stir in diced tomatoes, green beans, and cream of mushroom soup.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread cooked rice in a baking dish and top with the beef mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese melts and bubbles.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for beef.
- Use fresh green beans if preferred.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
