Description
A creamy and cheesy chicken penne pasta made effortlessly in your slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 2 cups penne pasta, uncooked
- 1 (15 oz) jar Alfredo sauce
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cheddar cheese soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add uncooked penne pasta on top of the chicken.
- In a bowl, mix Alfredo sauce, cheddar cheese soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Pour over the chicken and pasta.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use freshly grated cheese for better melt.
- Stir halfway through cooking if possible.
- Add veggies like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
