Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen sweet corn
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in flour (if using) to thicken the chowder.
  4. Pour in broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add sweet corn and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and paprika.
