A simple and delicious crockpot bread pudding recipe that requires minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 6 cups stale bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Grease your crockpot lightly with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Add bread cubes and raisins (if using) to the mixture. Stir gently to coat.
- Pour the mixture into the crockpot. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or until set.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for best results.
- Check doneness by inserting a knife; it should come out clean.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or caramel sauce.
