Description
Crispy and guilt-free onion rings made in an air fryer. Perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, sliced into rings
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Separate onion slices into rings.
- Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Dip onion rings in beaten egg, then coat with flour mixture.
- Toss coated rings with breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray or brush with olive oil.
- Place rings in air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, cook 1-2 minutes longer.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
- Use sweet onions for milder flavor.
