Ingredients
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 4 cups potatoes, diced
- 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Layer potatoes, onions, and sausage in the crockpot.
- Add sauerkraut and caraway seeds on top.
- Pour chicken broth over the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, brown the sausage before adding to the crockpot.
- Drain and rinse sauerkraut if you prefer a milder taste.
- Serve with mustard or crusty bread on the side.
