Description
Delicious and healthy chicken meatballs flavored with sage, served with creamy parmesan orzo. A perfect meal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup orzo
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan (for orzo)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Mix chicken, sage, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Shape into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add orzo and toast for 2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan until creamy.
- Serve meatballs over orzo.
Notes
- Use fresh sage for best flavor.
- Adjust salt to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
