A hearty and healthy chili soup made with lean turkey, perfect for game day gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
- Stir in black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth.
- Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Add more broth if you prefer a thinner soup.
- Top with avocado, shredded cheese, or sour cream if desired.
- This chili tastes even better the next day.
