A hearty and creamy broccoli cheese casserole with wild rice, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 1 cup wild rice
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook wild rice according to package instructions.
- Steam broccoli florets until tender.
- In a bowl, mix cooked rice, steamed broccoli, cheddar cheese, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute wild rice with brown rice if preferred.
- For extra flavor, add sautéed onions or mushrooms.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
